Women's conference in Macon features 'Married to Medicine' stars
A daylong conference designed to empower women will be held Saturday in Macon.
The event, called "Girls Rule," will offer women personal insights and strategies for successful businesses, according to a news release.
Dr. Heavenly Kimes and Lisa Nicole Cloud from Bravo's reality television show "Married to Medicine" will be featured guests and panelists of the conference. It will be held 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday at the Wilson Convention Center. The VIP luncheon will be held from 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
More than 200 women and young ladies are expected to participate in the conference, which is sponsored by the Macon Business Alliance Inc.
"This conference focuses on discussions of issues women face on a daily basis -- physical and mental health and wellness, happiness and success, even proper foot care," said Paula Sims, one of the event organizers.
Tickets may be purchased online at www.eventbrite.com and are available at Hairlines Beauty Salon, 2515 New Clinton Road, and Jonathan's Formalwear, 420 Cherry St., both in Macon.
