How long have you been in business?: This family owned business has been operating more than 25 years.

"Part of the business was started before we were involved. My father purchased the business around 1990. ... My father semi-retired about three years ago. I've worked here on and off a little over 10 years.

"Prior to this, I worked for a milling company in Atlanta. I wanted to get out of the big city, plus my dad was wanting to slow down, so it was a good fit."

What do you like best about your job?: "I really enjoy working with people. I love the interaction with the customer and helping provide a service that saves them money and reaches their customer base."

What is your specialty?: "We process first-class mail and standard mail, which is also known as bulk mail, for a lot of businesses, colleges, nonprofits and charities throughout the state of Georgia and some out of state.

"Most of the time the client provides us with the pieces to the puzzle, if you will, be it letters and envelopes. And we take the letters and insert them in the envelopes, address the outer envelope and are able to sort it. We also obtain postage savings for the client by doing some of the work for the post office before delivering the mail to the post office."

For example, a college might hire the company to do a mass mailings to its alumni.

"We have the equipment that stuffs the envelope, seals the envelope, addresses the envelope and sorts the envelope."

The post office will provide a discount depending on how much of the process is done before it gets to them.

What are your future plans?: "We hope to continue to help folks in Middle Georgia grow their business so we can grow ours. Also, we are getting a little more into the package shipping business. We do that for our current clientele. We don't do it for (individuals)."
