Aldi grocery chain seeks workers for its Milledgeville store

The Aldi grocery store chain is looking to fill jobs at its new store in Milledgeville.

The company is holding two hiring events this month to fill jobs for store associates, shift managers and manager trainees, according to a news release. The events will be held 8 a.m.-1 p.m. and 3 p.m.-6 p.m. March 15 and March 29 at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites, 1839 N. Columbia St.

Applicants must be 18 years old to apply, have a high school diploma or GED, able to lift 45 pounds and be available to work anytime between 6 a.m.-11 p.m. seven days a week, the release said. The positions pay $11 an hour for store associates, $15 an hour for shift manager and $42,000 for manager trainees based on a 45-hour week with an opportunity to earn $55,000-$65,000 a year as store manager.
