A new place to order wings has landed in Macon.

A Wingstop franchise, which opened recently at 4685 Presidential Parkway, is owned by Boss Wings III, LLC and operated by rapper and Maybach Music Group founder Rick Ross, according to a news release.

Ross owns Wingstops in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi and Tennessee. This is the first one in Macon.

"We are thrilled to be expanding so quickly in the state of Georgia, and I love being a part of the Wingstop family," Ross said in the release. "Wingstop fans love our fresh, cooked-to-order wings and sides. Our wings are recognized for their award-winning, bold flavors, and we're excited to make new fans here in Macon."

With a focus on wings, fries and sides, the Wingstop menu features bone-in and boneless chicken wings, as well as chicken tenders, "all sauced and tossed" in 11 flavors including mango habanero, lemon pepper, garlic Parmesan and original hot, the release said.

The restaurant is open 11 a.m.-midnight daily. For more information about Wingstop and its menu, go to www.wingstop.com.

Founded in 1994 and based in Dallas, Texas, Wingstop Inc. operates and franchises 845 restaurants in the United States, Mexico, Singapore, the Philippines, Indonesia and the United Arab Emirates as of the end of the fourth quarter 2015.
