AgGeorgia Farm Credit announces hiring
The board of directors of AgGeorgia Farm Credit added Zachary Purvis to its staff as chief lending officer.
A native of Peach County, Purvis has over 10 years of experience within the Farm Credit System, including positions in commercial lending, credit analysis, capital markets and management.
Brown named partner
Kevin Brown has become a partner in Seyfarth Shaw LLP's Atlanta office.
Brown is a member of the corporate department, where he represents numerous governmental entities throughout Georgia in general and transactional settings, with a particular focus representing public authorities and agencies for public-purpose and conduit bond financing. Before joining the Seyfarth firm, he was a partner with Sell & Melton LLP in Macon. Brown continues to maintain an office in Macon at 515 Mulberry St., Suite 200.
Hurst hired at Triple Point
Jason M. Hurst has been hired at Triple Point Engineering as a landscape architect. Hurst has over 14 years of land planning and management experience in a variety of civil and planning projects throughout Georgia and the Southeast. He is responsible for land planning, landscape architecture and project management at Triple Point Engineering.
ViziTech USA recognized
The Georgia Department of Economic Development and the Georgia Economic Developers Association recognized five companies as Small Business Rock Stars recently.
Of the 69 nominations submitted and reviewed by a panel of judges, Vizitech USAin Eatonton was one of the winners.
Morris Bank adds two to board
Morris Bank announced the addition of Mark Byrd and Michael Maffett to its board of directors.
Byrd, of Warner Robins, is the owner of Byrd & Company LLC, a real estate development and property management company specializing in residential real estate development and residential rental property management. He is a graduate of Georgia Southern University.
Maffett is president of Curry-Maffett Insurance, an independent insurance agency. A native of Dublin, he serves as president of the Dublin Country Club board of directors and is an active member of the Dublin Rotary Club.
Mailsort Macon wins award
Mailsort Macon has won the 2015 Customer of the Year Award from Pitney Bowes Presort Services Atlanta.
Mailsort Macon was selected the winner based on volume of mail, year over year growth and flexibility and readiness for pickups/scheduled departures, among other factors.
