Barnett named GM of GFB Insurance

Al Barnett has been appointed general manager of the Georgia Farm Bureau Mutual Insurance Co.

Barnett has worked in the insurance industry for 38 years. Before joining the insurance company staff in 1987 as a field claims representative, Barnett worked as an independent adjuster. Barnett became a GFB district claims manager in 1999 and in 2005 was promoted to director of claims.

Barnett became operations manager of the insurance company in 2006 and served in that capacity until becoming interim general manager in 2015.

A native of Eastman, Barnett attended Middle Georgia College and served a tour of duty in the Navy.

Kia announces promotions

Kia Motors Manufacturing Georgia, located in West Point, has promoted J. Randy Jackson to chief administrative officer.

Jackson, a Macon native, was hired there in 2007.

Coliseum earns accreditation

The Commission on Cancer of the American College of Surgeons has granted three-year accreditation with commendation to the cancer program at Coliseum Medical Centers.

To earn that accreditation, a cancer program must meet or exceed 34 quality care standards, be evaluated every three years and maintain levels of excellence in patient-centered care.

Church Home names Smith COO

Church Home Rehabilitation and Healthcare Inc., located in Perry, named Glenn B. Smith of Macon its chief operating officer. Smith will oversee the expanding LifeSpring campus as well as various agricultural and business operations.

Fairview names new COO

Fairview Park Hospital welcomed Stacey Howard as its new chief operating officer.

Howard joins Fairview from North Hills Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas, with nearly 20 years of experience in hospital operations. She received her master's degree in Healthcare Administration from Texas Woman's University and a bachelor's degree in business health management from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is a fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.

Geico announces promotions

Charles Oliver, Dana Jones and Justin Roberts have been selected for the supervisor preparation program at Geico.

Brandy Wellman, Channing Nguyen, Michelle Ralston and Joy Pitts have been selected for the claims supervisor preparation program.

Cody Campos and Kristie Schuessler has been selected for the salvage supervisor preparation program.

Jennifer Ruffin, David Lynch and Hannah Dickson have been selected for Geico's accident tow supervisor preparation program.

Dustin Herring has been promoted to a Geico glass claims supervisor.

George Burch has been promoted to liability claims supervisor.
