Gift shop reopens in Peach County hospital

The gift shop at the hospital in Peach County has reopened with a slightly new name and with new specialty items, including works by local artists.

The Peach Blossom gift shop is in the lobby of The Medical Center of Peach County, Navicent Health, at 1960 Ga. 247 Connector, according to a news release. An official grand opening will be held at 9 a.m. Friday, and the celebration will continue through the weekend with refreshments, door prizes and special offers.

The shop is open 9 a.m.-5 p.m. weekdays, but for this weekend, it also will be open 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday.

The former gift shop, called the Peach Blossom Boutique, closed last summer. It was operated by a third party.

The new shop is managed and staffed by hospital volunteers, and all proceeds from the store will be used to purchase items for the benefit of patients and guests.
