Edible Arrangements to open in north Bibb County

A store featuring fresh fruit arrangements, chocolate-dipped fruits and smoothies plans to open on Zebulon Road in north Bibb County.

Edible Arrangements, a franchise business, will officially open at 6255 Zebulon Road, Suite 350 in the Plantation Village Shopping Plaza with a grand opening planned for Feb. 8, according to a news release. All products are freshly prepared, with no added preservatives, by specially trained fruit experts. They can either be picked up in the store or hand delivered.

"Lots of people have heard of Edible Arrangements, but many don't know about our full product line," Brittany Smith, lead fruit expert, said in the release. "We look forward to wowing our neighbors with all our wonderful offerings."

Founded in 1999 in East Haven, Connecticut, Edible Arrangements has about 1,200 franchise locations open or under development worldwide.
