Lang joins Coliseum as chief medical officer
Todd Lang has been named chief medical officer for Coliseum Health System. Lang will be responsible for quality and patient safety, medical education, strategic vision and physician executive leadership for Coliseum Medical Centers and Coliseum Northside Hospital. He will focus on stabilizing and improving processes of care and operations.
He most recently served as medical director of emergency services at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee and led the Baptist Memorial Healthcare System Sepsis Improvement effort.
Taylor Health Care Group announces new head of health system
E.R. McDannald has been appointed interim CEO of Taylor Health Care Group by the Board of Trustees. McDannald will remain in this leadership role during the board's search and selection process for a new permanent CEO for the organization.
Prior to becoming the interim CEO for THCG, McDannald was CEO of Southern Health Management Services, and he was CEO of Houston Healthcare Complex.
SunMark Community Bank hires chief credit officer
Christie Drexler has joined SunMark Community Bank as chief credit officer. Drexler will manage the loan approval and support process of SunMark loans generated at the bank's four offices in Hawkinsville, Warner Robins, Bonaire and Fort Valley.
Drexler has more than 20 years of banking experience with various institutions having started her career with Citizens Bank in Fort Valley.
Fickling adds Pruett to Macon office
Sherry Pruett has joined the Macon residential office of Fickling & Co. as a Realtor. She is a graduate of LaGrange College where she received her bachelor's degree in organizational leadership. She is a member of the Windsor Academy Board of Education and president of the Windsor Academy parent/teacher roundtable.
Fairview Park Hospital welcomes Thetford
Lindsay Thetford has joined Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin as its new vice president of marketing.
Black joins Fairview Park from Doctors Hospital of Augusta, where she served as the marketing manager. She previously worked at The Augusta Chronicle.
Navicent Health CEO honored by Becker's Hospital Review
For the third consecutive year, Ninfa Saunders, president/CEO of Navicent Health, has been included on Becker's Hospital Review's annual list of 130 Women Hospital and Health System Leaders to Know.
Since joining Navicent Health in September 2012, Saunders has made continuous contributions to health care, particularly within the state.
Garner joins Smith, Hawkins, Hollingsworth & Reeves
Jamie Garner has joined Smith, Hawkins, Hollingsworth & Reeves LLP in Macon following five years serving as an executive and general counsel with local organizations. A former practicing CPA with KPMG, Garner was admitted to the bar in 2007. His practice focuses on business law and transactions, taxation, tax exempt entities, estate planning and probate matters.
Geotechnical & Environmental Consultants has new engineer
Geoffrey Madrazo with Geotechnical & Environmental Consultants Inc., which has offices in Macon, Columbus and LaGrange, has passed state licenser exams and is a registered professional engineer in Georgia. In 2010, Madrazo began his career with GEC as a field engineer/construction materials engineering technician. More recently, he worked as a project engineer and drilling department manager.
Hephzibah adds new employees
Hephzibah Children's Home added several employees: Heather Curran executive assistant to the executive director and helping with donor and community relations; Nathaniel Curran, food services professional and banquet hall rental coordinator; Kelvin Hammonds, recreation director; Mia Kimber, program director; Huguette Oliver, general accountant; Rhonda Tabor, human services professional in the case management department; and Stanley Williams, finance director.
