Main Street Macon announces $50,000 marketing grant program for small businesses
Through its Main Street Macon program, Macon-Bibb County is offering grants up to $1,500 to small downtown businesses to help them succeed.
The grants are being made available from a $50,000 marketing grant program using Community Development Block Grant funds, according to a news release.
Eligible businesses can apply for a grant of up to $1,500 for marketing assistance that will help create or maintain jobs that benefit people with low to moderate incomes, the release said. The money would be used to promote small businesses and Macon-Bibb County through advertising campaigns.
"By providing retail and business owners this opportunity, we want to help our small and local businesses thrive, grow and continue to create experiences that reflect our unique community," Main Street Macon Manager Steven Fulbright said in the release.
Applicants must be business owners in Macon-Bibb County and have 10 or fewer full-time employees. Each grant awarded must be matched by 10 percent non-grant funding.
Any businesses wanting more information about the program should email Fulbright at sfulbright@maconbibb.us, call 284-5553 or visit www.MainStreetMaconGa.com.
