Middle Georgia libraries to close for system upgrade

All Georgia libraries that have access to the PINES electronic access system will be closed four days for an upgrade.

All Middle Georgia Regional Library branches will close at 6 p.m. Thursday and will remain closed through Monday for the upgrade of PINES, according to an email from the library. This is the Public Information Network for Electronic Services, which allows card holders free access to books and other materials in 283 library branches throughout the state.

Patrons will not be able to access online accounts or any other services during this time.
