NewTown Macon begins second annual Developer's Academy

NewTown Macon will hold the first class of the 2016 Developer's Academy on Thursday.

The class will being at 5 p.m. at NewTown's office at 479 Cherry St, according to a news release. The first class is free and open to the public.

The second annual Developer's Academy is a six-month course, meeting once a month. The course costs $495, which is due by the second class Feb. 11.

"Graduates will be prepared for real estate development projects in downtown Macon and gain the ability to make smart investments utilizing tax credits," the release said.

The classes are designed for novices with no prior investment or development experience, but others may get a better understanding of downtown's unique market.
