What's open, what's not for Christmas

Banks: Renasant Bank and SunTrust Bank will be closed Friday. American Pride Bank, Community & Southern Bank (formerly CertusBank), Colony Bank, OneSouth Bank, State Bank and Trust and SunMark Community Bank will close at noon Thursday and will be closed Friday. Bank of America, BB&T, Capital City Bank and Wells Fargo will close at 2 p.m. Thursday and will be closed Friday. CB&T Bank of Middle Georgia will close at noon Thursday and will be closed Friday and Saturday. MidSouth Community Federal Credit Union and Robins Federal Credit Union will close at 1 p.m. Thursday and will be closed Friday and Saturday.

Government offices: Offices for the cities of Byron, Centerville, Fort Valley, Perry and Warner Robins as well as offices for Macon-Bibb, Houston, Peach and Twiggs counties will be closed Thursday and Friday. Offices for the city of Forsyth will be closed Wednesday-Friday. Offices for the city of Gray will close at 11:30 a.m. Thursday and will be closed Friday. Offices for Crawford County will be closed Thursday-Monday. Offices for Jones and Monroe counties will close at noon Wednesday and will be closed Thursday and Friday.

The Division of Family and Children Services, the Labor Department, state courts and federal courts will be closed Thursday and Friday.

Mail delivery: No delivery Friday.

Garbage: Garbage routes in the cities of Centerville and Fort Valley are not affected. Garbage routes in the city Byron, Perry and Warner Robins as well as for Crawford, Houston and Peach counties will not run Friday and will be delayed by a day through Saturday. Garbage routes by the Macon-Bibb County solid waste department will run as scheduled this week. Garbage routes by Advanced Disposal Services will not run Friday but will run Saturday. Residents may go online at http://bibbgis.co.bibb.ga.us/mbmgs/ to determine who collects their garbage.

Libraries: The libraries in Houston and Peach counties will be closed Thursday and Friday. The Middle Georgia Regional Library and branches will be closed Thursday and Friday. Washington Memorial Library will close at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Grocery stores: Kroger and Publix will close at 7 p.m. Thursday and will be closed Friday.
