A new chapter of the Score Association created in Middle Georgia
A new chapter of the Score Association has been created to serve Middle Georgia.
Score is a nonprofit organization offering free business mentoring and low-cost workshops to people starting or growing small businesses.
A branch of Score has been in Macon about 10 years, but it was part of the Atlanta chapter. And earlier this year, a Warner Robins branch was re-established, Ulrica Jones, chairwoman of the new chapter, said in an email.
"It was decided to create a SCORE Middle Georgia Chapter in October combining the (two branches)," she said.
The organization has more than 300 chapters in the U.S., according to a release. In Georgia, Score clients added more than 1,500 new jobs.
