Retired Air Force Maj. Gen. Robert McMahon to join Macon-based Fickling & Co.

At the end of this month, retired Air Force Maj. Gen. Robert McMahon will take on two new roles.

McMahon has been hired to serve as president of Fickling Management Services and he's been appointed as senior vice president of Fickling & Co. Inc., the parent company, according to a news release from President/CEO Roy Fickling.

He will succeed veteran commercial and investment real estate professional, Richard DeLisle, who will remain with Fickling & Co.

"We are saddened to see Rick go, but we cannot think of anyone better to fill his shoes," Roy Fickling said in the release. "Bob is a proven leader. We look forward to commissioning his dynamic leadership style in the real estate business."

In his new roles, which begin Nov. 30, McMahon will be responsible for all commercial operations within the company to include: commercial brokerage, commercial management and leasing, and multi-family management and leasing.

McMahon retired from the Air Force in 2012, and he served as president/CEO of the 21st Century Partnership and most recently worked with Boeing.
