Wal-Mart to open its newest Neighborhood Market store in Warner Robins

The newest Wal-Mart store in Warner Robins is set to officially open Wednesday.

The Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market at 519 N. Houston Road will hold its grand opening event at 7:30 a.m., according to a news release. On Saturday, the celebration will continue noon-3 p.m. with family activities and free food samples. The store will traditionally be open 6 a.m. to midnight.

The 41,000-square-foot store, which has a pharmacy, deli, bakery and fuel station, will employ up to 95 full- and part-time employees. Anyone interested in a job may apply at www.Walmartcareers.com.

Another Wal-Mart Neighborhood Market store opened in mid-September at Russell Parkway and Lake Joy Road. That store is open 24 hours a day.

"The other location has been a success with the city of Warner Robins and I know this location will be also," said Warner Robins Mayor Randy Toms. "The Houston Road location is convenient for so many residents of Warner Robins, it will also provide jobs and many great opportunities for our citizens."
