New event venue opens Friday in Macon

A new venue for weddings or other events in Macon is celebrating its official grand opening this week.

The ceremony at the Estate at Stone Creek, 5226 Ocmulgee East Blvd., will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday.

The lodge on the 100-acre property has a 1,200-square-foot reception area and two large fireplaces in the main room, a full-equipped catering kitchen, bridal suite and grooms quarters. Outside events could utilize a lake and barn on the property.
