Community & Southern Bank completes purchase of CertusBank branches in Macon

Atlanta-based Community & Southern Bank recently completed its acquisition of 14 CertusBank branches in Georgia and Florida -- including three in Macon.

The transaction included about $580 million in deposits and about $181 million in loans, according to a news release.

The Macon locations are at 1701 Bass Road, 4077 Forsyth Road and 501 Walnut St.

"This transaction builds market depth in key markets and expands our footprint into other exciting markets, including Columbus, Macon, Jefferson and Greensboro, Ga. and Jacksonville, (Florida), where we are eager to participate in growth opportunities," Community & Southern Bank CEO Pat Frawley said in the release.

CSB is one of Georgia's strongest banks with more than $4.4 billion in assets. It operates more than 45 branches in Georgia.
