Macon physical therapy center acquired by Pennsylvania company

A Macon-based physical therapy center has been acquired by a Pennsylvania-based company.

The Hammonds Centre for Physical Therapy at 4523 Forsyth Road was acquired as of Tuesday by Physiotherapy Corp., also known as Physio, according to a news release. The company is a national provider of outpatient physical and occupational rehabilitation as well as prosthetic and orthotic services.

“We are looking forward to utilizing their national expertise at our local level,” Matt Hammonds, the clinic’s director, said in the release.

The new Physio at The Hammonds Centre features physical and aquatic therapy to help people rehabilitate from injuries or surgery.

Physio operates 562 clinics in 28 states. This is its first center in Middle Georgia.
