Urgent care clinic planned for north Bibb County

A Savannah-based company plans to open its 15th Georgia urgent care clinic in north Bibb County.

AppleCare plans to build a 3,300-square-foot clinic at 4795 Riverside Drive across from The Shoppes at River Crossing, according to a release. With clinics in Perry and Warner Robins, this will be AppleCare’s third location in Middle Georgia.

The clinic will provide primary care and walk-in, urgent-care medical services for anyone 6 months and older. Some common services include sports and annual physicals, X-rays, blood work, vaccinations and treatment of non-life-threatening emergencies such as burns, cuts, fractures, pain and asthma attacks. The clinic also will provide local employer health services.

It is expected to employ 10-12 people. Anyone interested in applying for a job should go to www.applecaredoctors.com.

Construction of the clinic will begin right away with an expected opening in November.

It will be open 7:30 a.m.-7:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Sunday.

AppleCare is a large, privately owned group of primary, occupational and urgent care centers across central and Southeast Georgia.
