Five Macon attorneys named to YLD leadership
Five Macon members of the Young Lawyers Division of the State Bar of Georgia have been named to serve in YLD leadership for the 2015-16 bar year.
The following appointments were made: Jana Edmondson-Cooper, director of member outreach; David McCain, director of community outreach; and Alyssa Peters, director of member outreach.
Peters, Terri Benton and John Weltin were elected by fellow young lawyers to serve as YLD district representatives. Committee appointments include: Benton, communications standing committee; Peters, nominating standing committee; and Weltin, public relations and policy and the rules, bylaws and procedure standing committees.
Benton, Peters and Weltin also were appointed to serve as committee chairs of the law school fellows program committee and the labor and employment committee, respectively.Steve Walker has been selected as a Geico centralized service accident tow lead supervisor. Walker began his career as a customer service representative in 1999 and was promoted to service coach shortly afterwards. In 2014, he was selected to become the lead glass claims supervisor.The Macon Arts Alliance announced Lauren Kritsas as the new director of communications. In her new role, Kritsas will guide the strategy for all communications, public relations and marketing. She will develop, implement and evaluate the communications plan for Macon Arts Alliance including all programs and events.
Kritsas was previously an assistant director in the office of university admissions at Mercer University.Coliseum Northside Hospital has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Spinal Fusion Certification. Coliseum Northside is one of only two hospitals in Georgia, and the only hospital in Middle Georgia, to earn this certification.
The hospital underwent a rigorous on-site review. Joint Commission experts evaluated compliance with national disease-specific care standards as well as with spinal fusion-specific requirements. Clinical practice guidelines and performance measures also were assessed.
