Nominations sought for top businesses and industries in Macon-Bibb County

Nominations are being sought for the top businesses and industries in Macon-Bibb County.

The nominees will be considered for the 2015 Business & Industry Awards presented by the Macon Economic Development Commission and the Greater Macon Chamber of Commerce, according to a news release.

The nomination categories are:

-- Industry of the Year: Any industry operating for a minimum of five years may be nominated. These include businesses engaged in manufacturing or warehousing and distribution.

-- Business of the Year: Any private company (non-manufacturing or warehousing and distribution) operating for a minimum of five years engaged in commerce in Macon-Bibb County may be nominated.

-- Small Business of the Year: Any business or industry with fewer than 50 employees operating for a minimum of five years.
