Labor department helping Dollar General fill job openings

The Georgia Department of Labor will help Dollar General find new workers with a recruitment event in October.

The company is looking to hire about 20 employees to work at stores in Gordon, Irwinton, Jeffersonville, Milledgeville and Sparta, according to a release.

The recruitment event will be 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Department of Labor’s Career Center at 156 Roberson Mill Road in Milledgeville.

Dollar General is recruiting store managers, assistant managers, lead sales associates and sales associates for full-time, permanent positions. All applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or a GED.
