Macon software company moves downtown from Vineville Avenue

A Macon-based banking software company moved from a tiny spot on Vineville Avenue to more spacious quarters on Cotton Avenue in downtown Macon.

Lending & Banking Automation Software, also known as LBA Ware, moved earlier this month from 1,800 square feet of space at 3821 Vineville Ave. to 5,000 square feet on two floors at 355 Cotton Ave., according to a news release.

The company has more than 20 software applications that are being used by thousands of mid-sized mortgage lenders and retail bankers across the nation, the release stated.

The company has 15 employees, Kelley Martins, marketing manager, said in an email.

“To put this in better perspective though, this time last year there were only seven employees,” she said.

Owner Lori Brewer purchased the Cotton Avenue building at the beginning of the year and refurbished the entire space, Martins said.
