A Marriott TownPlace Suites hotel is planned as an anchor of a two-block development known as Mercer Landing on Mercer University Drive in Macon.

A Chen’s Wok and Papa John’s Pizza will be part of the mixed-use development, located across from Mercer’s Five Star Stadium, with plans for a Momma Goldberg’s Deli.

The announcements were made Tuesday morning on the ground floor of the future parking deck for the Lofts at Mercer Landing, which is under construction adjacent to the hotel property.

Slated for completion in fall 2016, the four-story hotel will feature 95 rooms, all with full kitchens. It is being developed by PHD Hotels Inc. of Opelika, Alabama.

The entire project is being developed by Macon-based Sierra Development Group Inc.
