How long have you been in business?: “We have been in business for five years now. We started the business out of our house and have grown. We were looking for an alternative for opening a machine shop which we had had in the past, and we started looking into lasers and decided that would be something unique to the area. ... We are about the only company offering laser engraving on all materials that we do. It has turned into something that has grown greatly.”

What do you like best about your job?: The fact that I’ve been doing this for five years, and it’s something I truly enjoy. I enjoy the creative part with (using) the latest technology. It’s great to create something that is specific to a person. ... Almost everything we do is personalized to that person.”

What is your specialty?: The business does laser engraving on most any type of material, such as metal, glass, electronics and wood.

“We are unique especially with photo engraving. We are able to reproduce any photo on anything you have ... ranging from grandkids on a plaque to images on firearms.”

“We also make custom pistol grips. That’s what makes DSP stand out. ... We work with a sawmill in Hawkinsville using Georgia-grown lumber. I try to keep all my equipment American made and try to buy from local suppliers.”

What are your future plans?: The business recently moved to the current property and moved into an existing building. “The new area has given us a manufacturing area along with a retail space to be in two separate buildings. ... We have a lot of room for expansion. ... As we continue to grow, we plan to expand.”
