Applebee’s plans to open its third restaurant in Macon next week

The newest Applebee’s restaurant in Macon is expected to open next week.

The Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar at 6235 Zebulon Road is set to open Tuesday, said Fabby Andrzejczyk, marketing manager for Apple American Group LLC, the franchise owner. The company also owns the other restaurants in Macon at 2574 Riverside Drive and 3652 Eisenhower Parkway.

The new 5,900-square-foot restaurant will offer full-service dining and a full bar. It will be open 11 a.m.-midnight Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-1 a.m. Friday and Saturday, Andrzejczyk said.

With $1.2 billion in sales and directly employing more than 31,000 people, Apple American is the largest Applebee’s franchisee, and it is one of the two largest franchisees of any concept in the United States, according to the company’s website.

Apple American Group owns and operates about 481 Applebee’s Neighborhood Grill and Bar restaurants in 23 states.
