Macon’s Grow restaurant to begin dinner service next week
Nearly one year after renovating her restaurant with a new look, a new name and a new menu, Saralyn Collins is making another move.
Collins will begin serving dinner next week at her restaurant, Grow -- formerly Good to Go -- at 1019 Riverside Drive. The eatery has been open for lunch from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Beginning Tuesday, Grow also will be open 5-8:30 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, Collins said.
“It’s going to be a different menu than for lunch,” she said. “It will be definitely more entrée-centered, less sandwiches and things.”
But the restaurant still will feature local, farm-to-table meats and vegetables, Collins said.
“We’ve been working pretty closely with the Dirt Farmers Marketplace (at the Macon Farmers Market) to get a little bit more variety in our menu,” she said. “We’re excited about it. We got a lot of requests for it, so we’re hoping it’s going to do well.”
Collins said she is still looking for two more employees -- a cook and a server -- but will use her lunch crew until she finds the right people.
