The menu also includes 12 cobbler milkshakes, 12 banana pudding shakes, six types of cinnamon rolls, six cobbler brownies, and churros with six sauce choices.
“The Peach Cobbler Factory is the place for all dessert foodies because we have a dessert that’s going to hit every taste bud that’s out there,” said Tameka Williamson Burns, who owns the Macon franchise dessert shop with her husband, Sturgiss Burns.
The new dessert shop is going into the space that was most recently Simply Mac, a computer repair and sales store, at 5005 Riverside Drive, Suite B. The small shopping plaza is across from The Shoppes at River Crossing.
The couple is in the permitting and licensing phase of the project, with the interior to be remodeled and transformed into a dessert shop.
The couple hopes to open The Peach Cobbler Factory in the third quarter of this year.
Why the couple chose The Peach Cobbler Factory
The Burnses were looking for businesses to purchase as part of their growth and wealth strategy when they came upon The Peach Cobbler Factory on a date night in fall 2024 in Fairburn, about 20 miles southwest of downtown Atlanta.
“We basically stopped to check it out, see what it was about, and we were impressed with the presentation, how everything tasted,” Tameka Burns said. “We got a chance to meet the owner at the time, and he was so excited about it.
“He shared information with us that evening, and since we were already looking for businesses, and we had been vetting different businesses that we didn’t move forward with, we thought it was worth taking a look at, and really, the rest is history.”
The Burnses also were impressed with how fast the company is growing and the relatability of the product to consumers, she said.
“It was those type of factors that was attractive to us in terms of its uniqueness and something we could both get behind,” Burns said.
They expect to be hands-on at the new dessert shop, while also keeping their full-time jobs. Sturgiss Burns is a logistics leader for Coca-Cola Bottling Company. Tameka Burns is vice president for operations for the nonprofit Michigan Business Council.
The Peach Cobbler Factory in Macon will be the second to open in Middle Georgia. The first opened at 840 Ga. 96, Suite 2600, in Warner Robins in May 2025. The Warner Robins location recently added The Peach Cobbler food truck.
Founded in 2013 in Nashville and franchising since 2021, The Peach Cobbler Factory has more than 120 locations in 25 states, according to its website. Georgia has 14 locations, with six more coming in addition to the one in Macon.
The Peach Cobbler Factory ranked No. 4 among the top 25 emerging chains in the U.S. in 2026 by Datassential.
The new Macon location will offer dine-in, takeout, online ordering, third-party delivery and catering. Store hours are expected to be noon to 10 p.m. daily, with delivery available for two hours longer until midnight.
