Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint to open in Warner Robins

A new midstate pizza parlor is expected to open next week.

Atlanta-based Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint plans to open Aug. 29 in Warner Robins at 133 Margie Drive with a grand opening celebration, Cassie Jackson, the local store marketing manager, said in an email. The restaurant that day will feature free pizza from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and live entertainment by Corby Bohannon from 5 to 8 p.m. Then on Aug. 30, children can eat free from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., with face painting and a balloon artist on site.

About 35 employees have been hired for the 2,400-square-foot store, Jackson said.

As reported by The Telegraph in September, franchise owner Tyler Mobley planned two locations in Macon and one in Warner Robins. The Macon stores are still in the works. The Macon locations haven’t been nailed down, but the first one is expected to open in about a year, Jackson said.

Uncle Maddio’s pizzas are made to order and served in six minutes for less than $7. The menu also includes salads and sandwiches.
