Oconee Regional Medical Center announced its second interim chief executive officer since June 1 on Wednesday.
Randall “Randy” Hoover has been selected as the hospital’s new interim CEO, and he will begin his duties Monday, according to a release. Hoover has more than 25 years of experience in health care administration in both for-profit and not-for-profit hospitals and systems.
He has served as CEO in hospitals ranging from 28 to 750 beds in Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana and Texas.
On May 20, Oconee Regional CEO Jean Aycock notified the hospital board that she was resigning. A week later, the hospital appointed acting CEO -- and its long-standing CFO -- Brenda Qualls as interim CEO.
