Genghis Grill to open in north Bibb County next month
Dallas, Texas-based Genghis Grill has announced it will open next month in north Bibb County.
The national-chain restaurant is going on the first floor of the Lofts at Bass, a mixed-use development at 5437 Bowman Road off Bass Road in the Publix shopping center.
The restaurant plans to open at 11 a.m. March 16, according to a Thursday news release. It is “a build your own bowl, fast casual, Asian stir-fry concept,” according to the company’s website. Customers will select the ingredients they want, and the food is cooked on a large, circular grill.
There are more than 100 Genghis Grill locations in the U.S., “but the Macon location will be the first to feature an island bar in the center of the restaurant,” the release stated. “This is a new concept for the national franchise.”
The local franchise, Makhanga, which is owned by William Conner, Eric Hefner and Chad Oliver, also owns a Genghis Grill restaurant in Augusta.
