Infinity Network acquires Macon company
Macon-based Infinity Network Solutions Inc., an information technology services company, has acquired CompuNet Inc., a full-service networking and Internet solutions provider, also in Macon.
“This acquisition of CompuNet allows Infinity to gain immediate expertise in the banking industry, and we are eager to earn further credibility in the marketplace,” Robert Betzel, president/CEO of Infinity Network Solutions, said in the release.
All of CompuNet’s employees will transfer to Infinity as part of the acquisition, and all clients of CompuNet will begin being served immediately by the combined team, the release stated.
Albert Slocum, president of CompuNet, said in the release that partnering with Infinity “would be the best way to preserve what our team at CompuNet has worked so hard to build over the last 20-plus years. ... I am excited to help Infinity take this to the next level.”
The acquisition of CompuNet follows closely on the heels of Infinity’s expansion into the Covington/Conyers marketplace and 2013’s acquisition of Giddens Network Services.
