Dick’s Sporting Goods to close one of its Macon stores
Dick’s Sporting Goods, which has had two locations in Macon for six years, is closing the store in the Eisenhower Crossing shopping center.
Signs in the store state: “We’re closing. Please visit our North Macon location” at The Shoppes at River Crossing.
Although the store manager referred The Telegraph to the corporate office, repeated attempts to reach a company official for comment have not been successful.
The company opened the Eisenhower Crossing store in 2001 and opened the River Crossing store in the fall of 2009.
Headquartered in Pittsburgh, Dick’s offers a large assortment of sports equipment, apparel, footwear and accessories. As of May, the company had 566 location in the United States.
