Kimchi Factory in Macon faces possible permanent closure, asks community for help

The Kimchi Factory in Macon may be in danger of closing its doors permanently.

The restaurant posted on Facebook Tuesday asking for community assistance in keeping the restaurant open.

A GoFundMe page was also started Tuesday. The message on the page read in part:

“Our restaurant has been open and running since 2019, and we have been serving Macon as the only Korean restaurant. We’ve been trying to do as best as we can, but as of recent times, we are not in a good place to be keeping our establishment open and running.”

There have been several social media posts by the restaurant in the past weeks regarding financial issues staying open.

Kimchi Factory owners didn’t immediately comment further on the restaurant’s possible closure.
