Fuel prices fall for 12th week in a row. Here’s where to fill up in Macon now.
If you are seeing slightly more cash in your wallet than usual, it may be because fuel prices are still falling.
According to GasBuddy, the country witnessed its 12th consecutive week of declining gas prices.
GasBuddy studied gas prices at more than 150,000 stations and found that gas prices have fallen 7.7 cents since last week and 29.5 cents since last month; however, fuel is 57.6 cents more than it was last year during this time.
“For now, price movements will be contingent on where you are, with California seeing some minor increases, while the Great Lakes could see an upward move as BP’s refinery outage has had an impact on supplies. In the Gulf and Rockies, prices may continue to fall, so a very mixed bag for motorists in the week ahead. In addition, there are several disturbances in the Atlantic to keep an eye on, but we do switch back to cheaper winter gasoline in just over a week which should provide some additional relief,” said Patrick De Haan, head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy.
AAA reported $3.32 for today’s Georgia state average, with the most expensive places to get gas being Savannah, Brunswick and Atlanta.
