From Macon to Perry, here are 7 new spots to grab a bite to eat or something sweet
Attention all foodie fans: Seven new spots are now open in Middle Georgia, including two chicken joints, an authentic Mexican restaurant, a pizza place, a Southern food spot and two dessert shops.
Four are in Warner Robins, one in Macon, one in Perry and one in Fort Valley.
Here’s a snapshot of the new places to grab a bite to eat or something sweet:
Zaxby’s — Known for their chicken fingers, wings, sandwiches and salads, a second location in Perry is now open of this national chain restaurant at 311 Perry Parkway next to a Wendy’s and a Skweeky Kleen Car Wash. The new restaurant recently celebrated its grand opening. The other Zaxby’s in Perry is at 1425 Sam Nunn Blvd.
No Name Chicken — This new chicken joint in the Kroger shopping center off Ga. 96 in Warner Robins offers wings and tenderloin sliders on Hawaiian bread with a variety of sauces from honey sweet to fire-alarm hot along with street fried rice and corn slaw. A sister restaurant to the Fried Green Tomatoes restaurants in Middle Georgia, No Name Chicken also recently celebrated its grand opening.
Tacos El Jefe — Antonio and Melissa Estrada started with a food truck, then a walk-up restaurant in the Houston County Galleria in Centerville and now they have a dine-in restaurant in Fort Valley. The new restaurant at 1030 Peach Parkway offers authentic Mexican cuisine.
Dough Bros’ Pizza Joint — Jacob and Mandy Ragsdale of Savannah now have a second location of their pizza joint named after their two boys, Grayson and Liam, in Middle Georgia. Their new spot at 3955 Arkwright Road, Suite E, in Macon, is geared for take-out and delivery. They offer up signature and build-your-own pizza, calzones, strombolis and more, including Boston butts smoked on site.
Hunni BJ’s Foodbar & Grill — Michele and Stephone Roberts offer Southern and Cajun food served up cafeteria-style at their dine-in restaurant in a small shopping center at 504 Russell Parkway in Warner Robins. They offer a few meat options and multiple veggie choices daily.
Little Sweeties Cakery — Pamela Johnson, along with daughters Jay White and Pamela Stephen, offer fresh baked cupcakes and cake slices along with cakes made to order at their bakery and dessert shop at 585 Carl Vinson Parkway in Warner Robins.
Nothing Bundt Cakes — A popular franchise known for its handcrafted bundt cakes made with real butter, eggs and cream cheese is the latest addition to the first phase of Century Market Plaza at 810 Ga. 96. It’s also the first Nothing Bundt Cakes franchise location in Middle Georgia and the first franchise for Sandy Kahley and Heather Jordan, Macon natives and sisters.
