Bass Pro Shops in Macon is hiring dozens of new employees during COVID-19 pandemic
Popular outdoor recreation retailers are hiring thousands of new employees across the country due to increased interest in outdoor activities during the coronavirus pandemic, and one of the stores has a distribution center and retail store in Macon.
Bass Pro Shops plans to hire dozens of new workers in Macon, according to a news release.
People who would like to apply for a job can visit www.basspro.com/careers, click either distribution or retail and filter the results for the Macon location.
The retail location is hiring for three different positions, including cashier outfitters, and the distribution center is hiring for 10 different positions, including equipment operators, a distribution center supervisor and security officers, according to the hiring website.
Bass Pro Shops accept applications for full-time and part-time jobs, and people working in the distribution center will work in a “production environment that offers a variety of hour availability,” according to the release.
Benefits include competitive wage potential, holiday and vacation pay and a store discount, and eligible associates can also be enrolled in health, dental and life insurance programs as well as a 401(k) retirement savings plan, according to the release.
Because many events have been canceled due to the coronavirus pandemic, Bass Pro Shops is seeing an increase in interest in outdoor activities that people can do while maintaining social distancing guidelines, according to the release.
