A popular chain restaurant is opening in Forsyth next week. Here’s what that means during the coronavirus

A popular fast food chain is opening its first location in Forsyth next week.

Zaxby’s, at 321 Cabiness Road, will open its drive-through window Monday. A grand opening for the dining room could be held later, depending on state and federal guidance, according to a news release.

“Our team cannot wait to share Zaxby’s delicious chicken and welcoming atmosphere with the good folks of Forsyth,” said Steven Stembridge, a Zaxby’s licensee. “I started out with Zaxby’s as a cook in 1997 at a restaurant located in Milledgeville and continue to believe in the brand’s mission and values.”

Zaxby’s licensees Stembridge and Scott Roberts own and operate this Zaxby’s along with 19 other Zaxby’s and have been licensees for 22 years.

The restaurant on Highway 83 off of Interstate-75 Exit 187 originally planned to open in February along with multiple other businesses in the same area.

The more than 3,500 square feet restaurant will employ around 45 people, according to the release. To apply for a job, visit indeed.com or snagajob.com.
