New women’s clothing store coming to Shoppes at River Crossing in Macon

The Shoppes at River Crossing is welcoming a new store to it’s list of retailers.

Versona, a women’s apparel and accessories store, will have its grand opening celebration 10 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursday at its new location in the Shoppes at River Crossing next to Belk, according to the Shoppes’ website.

The store will have free giveaways during the opening.

The Macon location will be the company’s first store in Middle Georgia. Versona also has locations in Atlanta, Athens and Savannah, according to its website.

Versona will replace Dressbarn, which announced it would be closing all of its stores in May 2019, according to the New York Times.

Versona is owned by the Cato Corporation, which also operates Cato Fashions and It’s Fashion.
