During its meeting Monday, the Macon-Bibb County Industrial Authority agreed to buy three parcels of land in south Bibb County for a total of more than $1 million.
The parcels, which are adjacent to each other, total about 75 acres. The properties are near Airport South Industrial Park.
The addresses of the properties, approximate acreage and purchase price are:
▪ 2946 Avondale Mill Road, 65 acres, $975,600;
▪ 2928 Avondale Mill Road, 5 acres, $76,350, and;
▪ 2976 Avondale Mill Road, 4 acres, $60,000.
Chairman Robby Fountain said the acquisitions were for future industrial development.
The authority expects to close on the properties later this month.
