Thai lovers will be able to enjoy their favorite cuisine again in downtown Macon.
LaDDa Bistro celebrated its grand opening Friday at 442 Cherry St.
The restaurant is located in the same spot as Lemongrass, which closed earlier this year. Tom Sarrtsud, who owns the business with his wife, Laddavan Sarrtsud, said a lot of renovations were done to the space. The Sarrtsuds were partners in Lemongrass.
“We changed the whole dining room look,” Tom Sarrtsud said. “It’s more family style.”
Also, the dining room has been arranged differently so it has more seating space, and it can now seat about 40 people. Plans are to have additional seating on the patio.
“We have everything ready. We are just waiting for better weather,” he said.
The Sarrtsuds used to own Ladda Thai restaurant in Warner Robins, which they closed in 2010.
“People keep looking for us because we disappeared for several years,” he said.
Sarrtsud said the new restaurant will have many original Thai foods with some fusion-style offerings.
LaDDa Bistro will be open 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 4-9 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday and for bunch 11 a.m-3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
