Golden Isles getaway: Here are 3 must-stop spots on the way to your GA beach vacation
Memorial Day weekend is right around the corner and the beach is calling.
Before you reach your destination, there are several must-see spots on the way.
If you’re road tripping to the Golden Isles, here are some unique sights to pull over and see, according to the Roadtrippers app:
Take a spooky stop at Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah.
This cemetery is a sight to see. It was a private cemetery in 1846 and became public in 1907. It’s 100 acres of history and is allegedly Savannah’s most haunted cemetery.
Take an exit to Papa Joe’s Fireworks for a big elephant photo op.
If you’re looking for a quick stop just to stretch your feet and take a good Instagram photo, this is the spot for you.
The Smallest Church in America awaits.
It was built in 1949 and is about 10 feet x 20 feet. It also has a bell tower that was added in 1998 and glass-stained windows.
