Prayer for today (8/14/16)
My dearest Jesus, when darkness and doubt descend on us, shine your light upon us, we pray. When we wander away into the unknown, reach out and guide us along the pathway to a safe harbor where peaceful waters flow. When sickness and death draw us into despair, our hope is for you to be with us every day to warm and comfort us. Peace and joy truly come from you, Jesus. There is no depth, no distance, no trouble that is unknown to you. You are our savior, redeemer and friend forever. As in your name, I pray. Amen.
