Prayer of the Day (Dec. 25, 2015)

O God of the ages, this is a busy time as we prepare to celebrate the birth of Jesus by sharing the love that came down from heaven on that glorious day long ago. Help us to be generous to one another in ways that reflect the many blessings of Christmas. Let us remember the place called Bethlehem, a stable bare, a tiny baby, a mother's warm embrace, heaven's joy, a savior for the world and Jesus, our Emmanuel -- God with us. As the angels sang and rejoiced at his birth, let us sing and rejoice today and in our hearts with the grace that came down from this tiny one, for all. Joy to the world, I pray, Amen.
