Prayer for today (12/22/15)

Dear God, as we celebrate Christmas let us recall that night long ago when Bethlehem cradled to its heart and gave mankind the Redeemer of the world. During this busy time of shopping, baking, Christmas parties, and wrapping presents, let us take the time to remember the real purpose of Christmas is the celebrating of Christs' birthday, because Jesus is the reason for the season. Christmas is love in action. Every time we love, every time we give, it's Christmas. After all, Christmas is whatever you make it in your heart. So, where ever you go, where ever you are, keep in your heart the Christmas star. May faith, hope and love mark your Christmas day, and may the joy and peace found in a manger be yours this Christmas.
