Prayer for today (9/16/15)

Holy Jesus, my light in the darkness, my peace in the noises of day and my strength when I am tired. I give you my best and thank you for these meaningful words of Thomas Merton. “Let me seek, then, the gift of silence, and poverty, and solitude, where everything I touch is turned to prayer: where the sky is my prayer, the birds are my prayer, the wind in the trees is my prayer, for God is all in all.” Dear Jesus, remind us how special prayer is in our every day, even those we hold deep in our hearts. Amen.
