Prayer for today (9/6/15)
My beautiful Jesus, we remember your loving kindness and words of hope and promise. Not so long ago, around 1820, these precious words of comfort were found in a hymn. ‘Sun of my soul, thou Savior dear, it is not night if thou be near. O may no earth-born cloud arise to hide thee from thy servant’s eyes. When the soft dews of kindly sleep my wearied eye-lids gently steep, be my last thought, how sweet to rest, forever on my Savior’s breast’. Thank you Jesus, from the depth of my soul. Amen.
