Prayer for today (8/25/15)

Father God, what has happened to the church? It was once a house of prayer and of stellar repute and holiness. Now there is mudslinging, reckless abandonment and ill will. Where is the love of Christ we are commanded to show and the light we are to shine to illuminate the path for the lost? Father, turn our hearts back to our first love, Jesus Christ, so that his love is made manifest in his body, the church and our hearts once again. John 13:34.
