This is the Prayer for Today, Aug. 13, 2015, as submitted by a Telegraph reader.

Lord, thank you for your concern for my friends and family members. I know you love them even more than I do. Lord, I need your help to learn to appreciate all that life offers, knowing there is profit in both the easy and hard times. We trust in you. Glory to your name. Amen.
